Abstract
Uterine adenomyosis is defined as the presence of endometrial tissue within myometrium. Adenomyosis is a clinical
diagnosis and can be confirmed only by pathology review. Endometrial hyperplasia is a condition of excessive proliferation of endometrial cells, and represents a spectrum of morphological and biological alterations of the endometrial
gland and stroma. We report a case of 43-year-old woman who underwent laparoscopy-assisted vaginal hysterectomy
and was diagnosed as adenomyosis coexisting with simple endometrial hyperplasia in myometrium without
involvement of endometrial cavity.
